Smart Lipo: An Introduction Of Its Procedure, Advantages And Disadvantages As Well Asn Its Cost

The procedure for laser lipo involves a doctor inserting a tiny probe containing a low-energy laser fiber directly into the targeted fat deposit. Using the heat of the laser, the doctor is able to destroy the fat cells, which are then drained away without touching the surrounding tissue. Laser lipo is a relatively quick procedure, as it usually takes less than an hour for each targeted area and can be performed under local anesthesia. The use of the laser ensures a clean, nearly painless procedure, with minimal scarring.

Pros of laser lipo

The pros of laser lipo is identical to that of traditional liposuction. It can change the look of a person, making them look younger and trimmer. Laser lipo is very good at removing small, difficult-to-reach areas although it can also remove up to 8 pounds of weight. Laser lipo’s greatest advantage over traditional lipo is its fast recovery rate of only one or two days, with very little post-operative discomfort.

Cons of laser lipo

Laser lipo, while relatively safe, still has a low level of risk. There are very few cases where complications arise as a result of doing laser lipo. In some cases, certain patients may experience minor swelling and bruising but these last only for a few days. If you choose an experienced and reputable doctor, the chances of such side effects will be very low.

Laser liposuction costs

Prices of laser lipo varies but it is dependent on the size of the area being treated. Typically, a final price can only be confirmed after your plastic surgeon evaluates the areas during the initial consultation. However, as a general guideline, the prices are as follows (for combined power-assisted liposuction and laser lipolysis):

1st treatment area : $3450
2nd treatment area : $2950
3rd treatment area : $2450
4th treatment area : $1950
